MAIN DECK
The maindeck is laid. Now we have about 2000 holes to plug.
 
 
PORT HOLES
Fitting the portholes, there will be a copper liner between the bronze inner and outer castings..
 
REPAIRS
Final repairs to the frames in the cabin area include two more laminated sections.

Repairs under the wheelhouse. There was some rotted wood around here. New frames and beams in Iroko.
 
 
FOREDECK
All the foredeck beams need to be replaced, most of them were not original and many were rotted at the ends and sagging at the centre. The beam shelf is fine, probably because it is teak. The new beams are iroko, the knees are oak.
 
 
Repairs made around the stem include a new oak breasthook to replace the cracked original. The original wrought iron reinforcement below this remains.
